Reception year children have been reading the book, ‘What the ladybird heard’, written by Julia Donaldson.After reading the story about the noisy farm animals and the quiet ladybird, whose clever plan gets the robbers caught, all the children created their own story props to re-tell the story in their own words during the role play. Children have also been practising writing the beginning of their story after getting inspired by this lovely and rollicking farmyard story.
