Year 3 took part in a vibrant and joyful Holi celebration, building on their learning about the festival. In their RE lessons, the children learned that Holi is a Hindu festival of colour, happiness, and new beginnings. It is often celebrated in spring and marks the victory of good over evil, as well as a time for friendship, forgiveness, and togetherness.
To bring their learning to life, the children enjoyed their own Holi-inspired celebration in school. They listened to music and took part in a safe, supervised colour throw, filling the playground with bright clouds of powder and lots of laughter.
The children had an amazing time celebrating together, and the energy and excitement were clear to see throughout the event. Even the teachers joined in and embraced the fun, ending up just as colourful as the children!
