This week, our Year 3 children transformed the playground into Antarctica, stepping into the boots of real-life researchers and explorers. Taking learning beyond the classroom, the children engaged in an immersive outdoor role play, experiencing first-hand some of the challenges scientists face in one of the harshest environments on Earth. Year 3 approached this experience with energy, imagination and maturity. Watching them collaborate, problem-solve and fully embrace their roles as Antarctic researchers was a real highlight.
