In Year 3, we have been busy developing our creative writing skills through our class text, Planet Omar: Accidental Trouble Magnet. Inspired by Omar’s adventures, we have become authors ourselves, creating exciting stories about characters who become lost in a variety of settings.
Using our imaginations, we have transported our readers to fascinating locations, including museums, forests, outer space and even the Himalayas! Throughout the writing process, we have carefully planned our ideas, drafted our stories and worked hard to improve our writing through editing and feedback.
This week, we proudly published the first paragraph of our stories. We have focused on using descriptive language, dialogue and ambitious vocabulary to create suspense and bring our settings to life.
We are excited to continue writing our stories and cannot wait to share our finished pieces with Year 2 next week. We are incredibly proud of the creativity, perseverance and enthusiasm we have shown throughout this writing journey, and we look forward to becoming published authors very soon!
