Year 4 have been working incredibly hard in English to write explanation texts all about the water cycle. Using our class text, The Rhythm of the Rain, we have learned how water moves through the stages of evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. We have been particularly proud of our use of technical vocabulary and explanation features, including subheadings, time connectives and cause and effect language. The children have shown great enthusiasm and have produced some fantastic pieces of writing explaining this fascinating scientific process!
