On Monday 11th march 28 children across Year 4 and 5 attended their launch event for The Brilliant Club. As part of The Brilliant Club the children will take part in seven tutorials with a PhD student who will work them on a topic the children have not learnt about before.
During the launch the children learned more about what to to expect from The Brilliant Club. They listened to a keynote speaker Renee Kapuku who encouraged the children not to be afraid, to be confident and know they have lots to offer, to embrace the opportunity they have been given by their teachers and above all have fun. They also got to hear from students who are currently at university. The children enjoyed the launch and are looking forward to the rest of the programme.
