This week in Year 1, we have been focusing on the season of summer. Our exploration began with the delightful reading of the poem “Squirting Rainbows” from the poetry book Out and About by Shirley Hughes. We then reflected on our favourite summer activities and crafted a line for our collective poem. We then united our lines as a group and practised reading our collaborative poem, finishing with a lively performance for the class. Additionally, we commenced our observations of the tree in our quad, committing to closely monitor its changes as we progress through the seasons. We look forward to sharing more of our discoveries!
