Continuing their learning about light, the year 3 scientists investigated shadows this afternoon. They started by asking questions about shadows and learning how they are formed. They then planned out a shadow puppet show. During this investigation, the pupils discovered that when the puppets are closer to the light source a greater shadow is formed, whereas when the puppet is far away from the light source a smaller shadow is formed.
