In geography this week, we continued our learning about rivers. Using atlases, we researched and identified the five longest rivers in the UK, finding out which regions they flow through. We discovered that the longest river in the UK is the River Severn. We then broadened our learning by exploring some of the world’s major rivers. Working with our partner we labelled a world map with important rivers, including the Amazon, Mississippi and Danube, helping us to develop our geographical knowledge and map-reading skills.
