This afternoon Year Five performed ‘Floodland’ to their parents.  The play, adapted from the book of the same name by Marcus Sedgwick, tells a story about a young girl Zoe who is affected by climate change.  It clearly demonstrates the reality we could all be facing in the near future, if we do not act now.

Interspersed with songs Year 5 have been learning this year, narrators retold the story and this was accompanied by  writing the children had created during their English lesson including diary entries, poems, letters, descriptions and  discussion texts.

Well done to all Year 5 for a great performance.
