Year 3: Drawing What We See
Year 3 have been developing their observational drawing skills by learning to draw what they see, rather than what they know an object looks like.
The children practised carefully observing unusual lines and shapes, teaching their hands to follow the movements and proportions they could see. They explored measuring and replicating these movements, helping them to create drawings that are accurate representations of what was in front of them.
It was fantastic to see the children concentrating so carefully, trusting their eyes and allowing their hands to follow what they observed.
