On Thursday 19th January, 27 children who attend Art Club after school with our specialist art teacher Mr. Kais travelled to the Tate Britain for a special workshop with one of the Tate’s artists in residence.
The children were divided into two groups and got the opportunity to explore the gallery first before meeting Travis their artist in residence. Travis worked with the children and took them through the various exhibitions and the children were challenged to question the art and the world around them. Travis then took them to look at sculptures by the famous Henry Moore.
The children interacted with the pieces and then created some videos of their work. Check out the photos below, as the children went through the Tate and worked with Travis.
