Children in year six have been reading a book called Floodland by Marcus Sedgwick,  which is set in the near future where most of the United Kingdom is covered under water. The story is about a ten-year-old girl named Zoe who is left behind after her parents leave the island before the floods. She is left alone in the ruins of Norwich but escapes to Eels Island (Ely Cathedral) where she discovers a sinister society run by a strange boy named Dooby.

The children worked  on role plays of when Zoe is escaping from what is left of the city of Norwich. She is being chased by the islanders and manages to escape on her boat into the unknown. Check out the photos below :
