This week in RE, Year 4 have been learning about different religious perspectives on caring for the world and valuing others.

The children explored the teachings of St Francis of Assisi and Pandurang Shastri Athavale. They discussed how both individuals showed a deep respect for the world—St Francis through his love of nature, and Pandurang Shastri Athavale through his belief in equality and dignity for all people.

Inspired by these ideas, the children created their own poems about the world. Some chose to celebrate its beauty and wonder, while others focused on fairness, kindness, and how we can make the world a better place.

It has been wonderful to see the children express their thoughts so thoughtfully and creatively.
