Across the week, the ARP have been celebrating Eid in their classes, with staff putting on Eid related activities, along with music and sensory trays. As well as this, parents, carers and families were invited to come and enjoy the celebrations with their children in their classes, and we had a fantastic turn out!

So far this year, we have celebrated Christmas and the Hindu celebration of the Holi festival, and we wanted to continue celebrating religious festivals as much as we could. We have had such great feedback from parents and carers from the previous religious festivals.

As you can see from the pictures below, the children and adults who attended were fully engaged with the activities that the staff had set up. Some classes had Eid parties set up, with non – uniform, party clothes, or even traditional clothing for those who celebrate Eid with family at home. Some of our classes had lunch with the parents/ carers/ family members in a picnic form, with some of the visitors even bringing in their own food to share with the other adults and staff present. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves and really engaging with the children.

Take a look at the pictures below to see all the fantastic ideas and organised fun come to life!
