After weeks of care and attention, Year 6 have finally dug up the ‘roots’ of their labour! Harvesting their own potatoes and carrots was a moment of pride and laughter, as they unearthed some surprisingly wonky vegetables! The children have thoroughly enjoyed looking after their plants, learning about what crops need to thrive and discovering the joy of nurturing something over time. Along the way, theyβve gained valuable lessons in patience, responsibility and teamwork. They now have a new appreciation for just how much effort goes into the food on our plates.
