Our Year 6 Boys Football team had their first match of the season vs William Bellamy away at their ground. The boys couldn’t have started the season in a better way, travelling away from home to play in challenging conditions. The boys were more than up for the challenge ahead and took full control of the game with an early strike from close range and followed up by another goal, this time from distance. With the score at 0-2 to Monteagle, a penalty was awarded to William Bellamy. The penalty was taken… and saved by our rock solid keeper.

After half time the confidence in the team was flowing as they continued to work hard for each other defensively and offensively rounding off an 0-8 win. With two Hat-Trick Heroes, and a brace from another.

It was an outstanding team performance and a great way to start the season. Well done boys, we look forward to making more improvements to see how good this team can really be.
