Year 4 had a fantastic time visiting Valence House Museum to bring their history learning to life!
The children have been learning about the Anglo-Saxons this term, and the visit gave them a wonderful opportunity to deepen their knowledge of this fascinating period in history. They explored the museum, looked closely at historical objects and answered questions to help them discover more about how people lived in the past.
The children also took part in an exciting archaeology hunt in a sandpit! They uncovered sources from Anglo-Saxon times, thinking carefully about what these finds could tell us about life in the past.
It was a fun and engaging day that helped Year 4 develop their historical enquiry skills and make links with their classroom learning. The visit has also helped prepare them for their upcoming learning about the Vikings in the spring term.
Well done to Year 4 for being such enthusiastic historians! We are proud of your curiosity and brilliant learning.
