Year 4 have been busy learning all about Hinduism in RE. As part of their learning, the children have been exploring the importance of puja, the Hindu act of worship.
To help deepen their understanding, the children created their own puja trays, carefully selecting and arranging items that can be used during worship. They discussed the meaning and significance of different objects, including flowers, food offerings, candles or lamps, incense and images of Hindu deities.
The children enjoyed being creative while also thinking carefully about how each item can help Hindus to show devotion, respect and gratitude during puja. They were encouraged to explain their choices and reflect on the beliefs and practices they had been learning about.
It was wonderful to see the children combining their creativity with their RE learning.
Well done, Year 4!
