Monteagle School is very excited to announce that our Year 4, 5 and 6 choir will be performing at the O2 Arena in Spring of 2020 as part of their ‘Young Voices’ concert.

‘Young Voices’ stages the largest children’s choir concerts in the world. Each night, between 5,000-8,000 children perform as a single choir to a sold-out audience of family and friends.

The music that we will sing includes a range of popular hit songs, along with some music that will be less familiar. The concert will feature the children performing alongside celebrities including: Tony Hadley (from the 80s pop hit band Spandau Ballet), The Shires (a pop-country band from the USA) and Ruti (UK based singer song writer). More celebrities will be announced closer to the date. This experience is completely free.

Check out one of the songs we will be singing ‘Larger than Life’ Pinkzebar.

In order to take part in the ‘Young Voices’ concert, your child(ren) need to be part of the Year 4,5 and 6 choir which meets every Thursday from 3:20-4:20 in the Key Stage 2 Dining Hall.

The choir will continue after ‘Young Voices Concert’, with a performance at the Barking and Dagenham music festival. We will also being doing performances for parents/carers this autumn term, and taking part in the whole-school winter album.

Choir is a great way to make friends, sing amazing songs and have fun. All voices are welcome!
