Our Year 3 pupils have been busy combining their history knowledge with their writing skills to create fantastic explanation texts all about the fascinating process of mummification in Ancient Egypt.
The children carefully explored each step of the mummification process, demonstrating great enthusiasm and accuracy in their writing. They used a range of subject-specific vocabulary, such as canopic jars, embalmingĀ and natron. They then used their explanation texts to create beautifully presented, eye-catching posters.
To celebrate their hard work, we invited Year 4 pupils to come and visit the exhibition. Year 4 spent time reading the posters, learning from the explanations, and asking thoughtful questions. They also had many lovely compliments for the Year 3 children, praising both the quality of their writing and the creativity of their poster designs.
The visit was a great success and a fantastic opportunity for pupils to share their learning with a real audience.
We are incredibly proud of Year 3 for their hard work and of Year 4 for being such a supportive and enthusiastic audience!
