This year, Y6 began to explore our new text Rose Blanche by Roberto Innocenti. A moving story told through the eyes of a young German girl during World War Two. Here you can see us re-enacting a scene from the start of the book, where Rose Blanche watches the German soldiers leave to fight in the war. As you can see from the photos, we have some talented actors in Y6.
Following the re-enactment, we created detailed sentences to describe the lively atmosphere and sounds during the soldier’s deployment.
