At the beginning of the term, year five (including teachers) set ourselves challenges to achieve by the end of the Autumn term. The purpose of setting a challenge was to promote a growth mindset amongst the year group, and foster a positive outlook for the year head.

We decided the best way to track our progress and support our peers was through a Growth Mindset blog online. It has been a huge success with members of the blog sharing positive messages of encouragement as we work towards achieving our goals. The variety of challenges throughout the blog is wonderful, which is a testament to the wide range of sills and talents in the year group.

At the end of the term, teachers will be deciding on a Challenge Champion, someone who has upheld a growth mindset and has remained determined throughout the process. The Challenge Champion will be recognised in front of the school at Achievement Assembly and will receive the certificate recognising their efforts.
