Hello from 6f, it’s Prospero, Samuel and Ir

fan here, and we are going to share all the marvellous learning we have experienced this week.
English:
This week, we have been writing our grand opening of our diary entry. We are continuing our book Rose Blanche – a book about World War II. We started with text marking to help us with our writing. We also learned how to create an emotion graph. It was very enjoyable!!
Maths:
This week, we have started our new topic – Negative Numbers. We also learnt about Place value up to 10,000,000 and a few things from the past year to refresh our memories
This is a question for you Mr Marshall:
A pipe is 24m below ground. A crane lifts the pipe 38m upwards. How many metres above the ground is the pipe now? And even trickier, try to draw it!

Science:
This week, we did a science experiment about light. Our experiment was so fun. We tested how distance a light source is from an object has on the length the shadow.

History:
This week, we learnt about the Battle of Britain. A time when Germany and Britain had a very frightening fight in the skies over Southern Britain between the RAF and the Luftwaffe. We also learned about The Blitz which lasted for 8 months. To understand the Blitx and its impact, we explored various pictures (primary sources) from that time.
Overall, this week was stupendous. Hope you all have a safe and happy weekend.
That’s all for now,
Prospero, Samuel, and Irfan.
