We have been growing our Sunflowers!

Reception children have been learning all about plants and growing their own plants from the seeds. Earlier they had grown cress and this time they have planted their sunflower seeds. All the children first of all spoke about what do the seeds need in order to grow healthy and strong. They discussed about the importance of rich soil, role of sunlight and watering their plants so that they grow healthy and strong. Some children also told their classmates about how they have been helping their parents and grandparents,  growing flowers and vegetables in their own gardens.

All the children enjoyed their sowing activity and are very excited to see their plants grow.
