Reception children have been celebrating science week. They learnt about forces and  gravity. They now know that gravity keeps every thing on the ground. Children have learnt that Mae Jamison, has been the first black lady astronaut to have flown to space in a rocket. Children have learnt about forces and did an experiment called, ‘ColaSuper Fountain’, which showed them how mentos ( mint sweets) caused a fountain of Cola! Children made their rockets, push and pull models, coloured space worksheets and made a fact file, about,’ Mae Jamison’. All their work was kept for display to show their parents at the end of the day! Children did a lovely presentation about their ‘science learning’, to their parents and they were all very proud of their achievements.
Thank you to all the parents who attended our, ‘Science Presentation’. We are very proud of our young budding scientists! Well Done all!
