Our long awaited residential trip finally arrived. We left Dagenham in the rain, but arrived in London in  brilliant sunshine. We spent time at Vauhall Pleasure park. We had our picnic here , because obviously everyone was starving the moment we arrived, and played games. Then we went for a walk to see the sights, including a little city farm.
At Base studios, Rich took us for a drama session. We had to warm up first by trusting our partners to catch us as we fell backwards into their arms. We also acted out a scene from Matilda. We have some very promising actors in our midst!

The food at Hard Rock cafe was lovely! And Mr A made a surprise visit! Our waiter even played the harmonica to entertain us!

Then it was onto the theatre! We were so close to the stage! The show was amazing and everyone behaved impeccably throughout the performance, totally transfixed. Even when the actress playing Matilda took ill, and we had to sit in the dark while they brought on the understudy, the children were well behaved.

Then it was back on the coach to finally go to our hotel. The last child went to sleep at 2am, and the 1st up was at 4.45am. They are now getting dressed, hungry for breakfast, and looking forward to Science Museum.
