This week, our Student Council proudly launched Anti-Bullying Week with a whole-school assembly all about The Power of Good. We explored how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference, and how each of us has the power to help others feel safe, valued, and included.
To celebrate this important message, we’ve organised a week full of activities to spread positivity and kindness across our school community!
Poetry Challenge:
Each class is learning and performing a poem inspired by our school virtues, showing how living by our values can help us use the power of good every day. We can’t wait to see the performances and hear how each class brings their chosen virtue to life!
Acts of Kindness Box:
We’ve introduced an Acts of Kindness Nomination Box where children can celebrate their classmates for doing something kind or thoughtful. Some of these nominations will be shared in Friday’s assembly to highlight the many ways we show goodness at our school.
Student Council Station:
We’ve launched our brand new Student Council Station on the playground! It’s a place where children can share their ideas, worries, or suggestions for making our school even better. The Student Council will collect and discuss these regularly during our meetings.
Odd Socks Day – Friday!
We’ll end the week with Odd Socks Day! Everyone is encouraged to wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique and to remind us that our differences should always be celebrated.
Together, we’re showing that when we choose kindness, respect, and empathy — we use the Power of Good to make our school a better place for everyone.
