This week, our book, the Tiger Who Came to Tea has been very sensory based. We have used large trays filled with multi coloured rice and tissue paper to represent the tiger stripes. We have linked our role play activities to posing as a tiger and pretending to eat all the thing from in the book that the character eats.

The children have enjoyed roaring their way through the book so far, and getting stuck in with the sensory activities and the party set ups we have arranged for them.

Some of our children also made toast, linking their English story to their life skills lessons. The children were making toast and wore tiger masks, once they had pretended to eat the toast, they were of course, allowed to eat the toast as a little snack.

Some of our formal children have been learning more social skills by playing outside and interacting with games, such as; bouncy ball races, what’s the time, Mr Wolf and many more.

Take a look at the sensory activities on show for the children to complete.
