The children have had a wonderful time exploring pumpkins, we began by looking closely at the pumpkins and drawing what we could see. The children then used hammers and golf tees to explore the pumpkins, carefully tapping the tees into them. This was a fantastic opportunity to develop their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and concentration.
Next, we opened up the pumpkins to discover what was inside. The children were fascinated to explore the different textures and look at the seeds. Using magnifying glasses, they had the opportunity to observe the seeds more closely, encouraging their curiosity, observation skills and early scientific thinking.
