Monteagle music is  asking you to take part in our singing and recording challenge. Those who take part, will be part of creating a whole-school MP3, based on famous hit song, ‘Ain’t No Mountain’.

To take part in the challenge please follow the steps outlined below.

If you can, get your siblings and parents/carers involved too.

  3. Record your own version of ‘Ain’t No Mountain’, based on Ms’ Davis’ model, by yourself or with your family. You can sing the entire song or just a part. Please don’t use a backing track.

Check out the lyrics to ‘Ain’t No Mountain’ here:

If you need me, call me,
No matter where you are,
No matter how far,
Don’t worry, brother.

Just call out my name,
I’ll be there in a hurry,
You don’t have to worry,
’Cos baby there

Ain’t no mountain high enough,
Ain’t no valley low enough,
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you, babe.

Remember the day,
You set me free,
I told you you could
Always count on me.

From that day on,
I made a vow,
I’ll be there when you want me,
Somewhere, somehow.
’Cos baby there

Ain’t no mountain high enough,
Ain’t no valley low enough,
Ain’t no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you, babe,
To keep me from getting to you!
