This week, Year 1 had lots of fun becoming minibeast explorers!

Before heading outside, we discussed the different places where minibeasts might live and learnt the new word habitat. We talked about how a habitat is a place where a living thing lives and finds what it needs to survive.

We then went on an exciting minibeast hunt around our outdoor area. The children carefully searched under leaves, around plants and in other hidden places. We were very excited to discover snails, grasshoppers and spiders!

The children really enjoyed exploring the outdoors and observing the different minibeasts in their habitats. What fantastic little scientists!
