This week, Year 4 explored the inspiring story of Mary Jones, a young girl from Wales who dreamed of owning her own Bible. Determined to achieve her goal, Mary saved her money for years and eventually walked barefoot over 26 miles to Bala to collect her Bible from Thomas Charles.
To bring this story to life, the children worked creatively to design 3D LEGO scenes showing key moments in Mary’s journey: saving her money, walking to Bala, meeting Thomas Charles, and finally receiving her Bible.
The activity helped the children understand why the Bible is so treasured by Christians and appreciate Mary’s determination and faith.
