This week Year 1 have started our topic ‘The Magical Toymaker’. As an introduction to our topic, we had a fantastic workshop where we visited a magical toy museum and met Clive the curator. We explored different types of dolls, teddy bears and moving toys. The children had a fabulous time during the workshop and can’t wait to start preparing for their own museum!
Did you know that a toymaker called Mr Steiff created the first teddy bear and named it after the US President Theodore Roosevelt?
