This week, our Book of the Week was Little Glow. The story followed Little Glow as he explored the world around him and learned about light and darkness. Through his journey, the children talked about feelings, curiosity, and how light can help us feel safe and confident. The book encouraged discussion, imagination, and understanding of the world.
In Maths, we learned about prepositions, focusing on positional language such as under, over, on, and next to. The children explored these concepts through practical activities.
In Phonics, our focus song was Round and Round the Garden, which supported listening and attention skills. We also learned about the letter k, exploring its sound and how it appears at the beginning of words.
We also focused on developing fine and gross motor skills. The children used shaving foam to create patterns, supporting their fine motor control, and took part in outdoor activities such as pegging up leaves to help build strength in their arms.
