Recently we introduced knowledge organisers to support our children in being able to learn more and remember more in Year 1 – Year 6. These knowledge organisers contain all of the essential knowledge that we want our children to learn to gain a deep understanding of their topics. They can be accessed on your child’s year group pages. To begin with, these have just been created for Geography and History but eventually this will extend to more subjects. They are also an excellent tool that can be used at home to support children in their understanding as well as to start discussions about what children have been learning in school. There is a useful ‘test yourself’ section that can be used to see what children understand so far and what they need to work on.
