Today, the whole school took part in a day of celebrations for the coronation of King Charles III. It was lovely to see all the children getting into the spirit of things by dressing in red, white and blue. The Union Jack theme continued into the dining hall as it was decorated with coloured table cloths and balloons. Our afternoon activities and assembly focused on King Charles’s environmental activism and his work with The Prince’s Trust. Children also took part in coronation themed colouring and drawing – you can see an example of the ARP children using the hand over hand technique with their teachers in the photos below. To continue the celebrations, we will be planting 24 dahlias in the school grounds as a nod to the King’s horticultural passion. A fantastic day had by all, now to enjoy the bank holiday weekend!
