As part of our RE topic on Why the Bible is important to Christians, Year 4 visited St Albans Church. Reverend Faye showed us how the Bible is used during worship, explaining that it is read from the middle of the church to highlight its importance. We explored different types of Bibles, including one that contained all four Gospels in a single book, and learned about Psalms, which are often used in prayers and hymns. At the back of the church, we noticed beautiful stained glass windows telling stories from the Bible, as well as banners and pictures representing different sections of Scripture. This visit helped us understand how the Bible is central to Christian faith and how its stories are shared in many creative ways.

Next week, we are looking forward to welcoming a visitor who will teach us how the Bible is used at home.
