What a fantastic first day!
We began our trip with an exciting coach journey, filled with laughter, songs and lots of anticipation for the adventures ahead. When we arrived, we headed straight to the park to enjoy sitting down together with our packed lunches in the sunshine.
After refuelling, we split into two groups for our afternoon activities. One group put their aim to the test with a fun frisbee challenge, while the other enjoyed an exciting animal encounter, getting up close to some fascinating creatures and learning interesting facts about them.
Later, we made our way to the lodges to unpack and settle in before dinner. Everyone enjoyed a delicious meal of chicken nuggets and chips, which was the perfect way to recharge for the evening.
Our evening was packed with even more fun! We all gathered around the campfire to toast marshmallows, enjoying a warm and tasty treat together. Afterwards, we headed off on the Dino Trail, where we explored the prehistoric world and discovered lots of interesting facts about dinosaurs.
To round off a fantastic first day, everyone came together for a lively disco filled with dancing, music and smiles. After such a busy day, we returned to our lodges for a well-earned rest, ready for another exciting day of adventures tomorrow.
The children have been a real credit to the school, showing excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the day. We can’t wait to see what Day 2 has in store!
