Emotional Regulation

Emotional self-regulation or emotion regulation is the ability to respond to the ongoing demands of experience with the range of emotions in a manner that is socially tolerable and sufficiently flexible to permit spontaneous reactions as well as the ability to delay spontaneous reactions as needed.

Each child within Phoenix are following the SCERTS programme and have emotional regulation targets set accordingly. The photos below were taken during our early morning greeting session- the children were asked how they’re feeling and were supported with visual cues. The children look forward to daily sessions of this.
