After reading the book ’10 things I can do to help my world’ year 2 thought about how we could begin to help our world starting with the school.
One of the ideas we read in the book was to help the birds by feeding them. We all thought this was a really good idea. Before making the bird feeders we wrote some persuasive letters to Mr Campbell asking his permission for us to make some for the school and…Mr Campbell said YES!
We asked the parents to come in to help us make the bird feeders and to hang them in our soon to be nature garden!
We are hoping more birds will visit our school now.

We are now writing our own instructions so others can also make their very own birdfeeders!
