This week in Year 1, we have had a wonderful time commencing our first science topic all about pets. We kicked off the week by exploring the school grounds for creatures that might inhabit our gardens. We were thrilled to discover a variety of minibeasts, including spiders, slugs, ants, centipedes, and many more. Through this exploration, we learned about habitats and the invertebrates that dwell within them. Later in the week, we conducted our first experiment, predicting which materials could effectively clean up a puppy’s accident. We enjoyed testing various materials to determine which was the most absorbent. It has truly been an exciting week of scientific exploration!
