It has come the time for the year to come to a close once again, and what a year it has been!
Trips and parent workshops have been added to the mix each term this year, which have all been fantastic and a great turn-out. Feedback from parents was amazing and we are so happy that it was enjoyable for all those who attended. The trips were also a huge success; taking our children to places they may not get a chance to go to outside if too difficult for them. Taking them shopping for ingredients to support their learning, going to the library for reading and activities, the park for picnics and a fun afternoon, and to Build-a-Bear in Stratford to get a bear for the children to take home at the weekends. A huge thank you to the staff for setting these up, as well as the parents and volunteers who came along to support us and the children. Without you all, these trips would not be able to go ahead, so it is greatly appreciated!
As well as this, trips with mainstream classes have been immensely popular this year. Having some children attend Trewern this year with the mainstream classes was fantastic. We haven’t had an ARP child go Trewern for a few years, and they did incredibly well. They participated in all activities, and made some wonderful memories along the way. Other trips included; going to the Science museum in London, VR Prime company for children to explore virtual reality scenes and environments, Valence House, St Alban’s Church, and visits from Wellgate Farm.
We have had a fantastic year here in Monteagle ARP. Below are pictures from across the year with a range of activities and events that have gone on since the beginning.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff, who come to school every day to ensure these children make progress in the best possible way for each individual. Taking the time to care and encourage the children to things that they may not usually do, and push them out of their comfort zone when given the chance. Their understanding of the needs of these children they work with is amazing, and we could not do any of this without the staff!
Finally, we must say goodbye to those children who are leaving us for Secondary school, or moving on to a new chapter in their lives. You will be sorely missed by all of us here, and we wish you the very best of luck in the future, your new settings, and into adult life! Good luck!
