Before the half term, each class hosted a Diwali celebratory parent workshop.

We have a range of religions here at Monteagle, and in the ARP, we try to celebrate as many as we can, inviting parents and carers in to enjoy some quality time celebrating their own and other’s religious festivals. It is also a nice way for parents and carers to come into school and enjoy different activities with their children that are not usually on offer to them.

The teachers set up all sorts of activities to be completed by children and visitors. Diwali is the Hindu festival of light, and, as you can see from the pictures below, the class teachers planned many fun and interactive activities. Take a look at all the colourful tasks that were set up for the children and parents/ carers to get stuck into.

We would like to thank all the teachers for setting up such lovely tasks, and for those parents and carers who were able to join their classes. It is important that the children experience different things alongside those who they love to see at home.
