Tuesday afternoon our long awaited camp date arrived and so did the amazing weather!

Once  we had all arrived the children unpacked their overnight things and went to their tents to make their bed for the night.

Once that was completed we completed activities of circus skills , which proved to be quite tricky, but with amazing perseverance, the children were getting the hang of them really quickly! We also took part in football rounders and orienteering, which ended with roasting marshmallows over a fire. The mallows were crispy on the outside but lovely and gooey on the inside.

Finally the most exciting part arrived, after hot chocolate it was time for the actual sleeping in the tents! The children got changed and went to their tents for torch time and talking. And more talking, and even more talking!

Eventually it was lights out, voices off. By 12.30am most children were fast asleep, only a couple found it harder to drift off. At 4.30am the first early risers were awake, with the last getting up at 7am. During breakfast and a movie the children were a lot quieter than they had been the afternoon before!

It was a thoroughly enjoyable night, and most said that they would love to do it again, but first they wanted to go home to sleep!!
