We have been super busy this week with different workshops!
We had a very enjoyable geography workshop with Jamie. We told him all about our learning on volcanoes, and he was impressed with our knowledge. We then had the fun task of building a volcano from Lego. Jamie had brought LOTS of Lego so we could all make a model each. We had to build the magma chamber and vent, and then build our volcano up around that to make sure that it had a strong structure. It was hard work but lots of fun!
And then we had the highlight of our week! All our many weeks of hard work of drafting, editing and writing up our stories, finally came to fruition. We made a book! It was wonderful to share all our hard work to you parents, and see their faces beam with pride!
We have also started our D&T topic on greenhouses. This week we have been looking at different structures and discussing their properties. We discussed that they need to be sturdy, transparent and have ventilation. Next week we are going design, and make, a mini greenhouse in groups.
