This week in Writing, Year 2 have been learning all about astronauts, following our book for this term The Man on the Moon. We began by exploring information from books, videos and information sheets to find out what astronauts do, what they wear, and what life is like in space. The children worked brilliantly in pairs to gather interesting facts and record them in their own research notes.
Later in the week, we used our notes to create our very own astronaut fact files. The children chose key facts, wrote full sentences, and added detailed, labelled pictures.
Year 2 are quickly becoming space experts, and we can’t wait to build on this learning in our upcoming writing lessons. Take a look at our amazing fact files!
