Thinking about re-opening our school – an update

Dear Parents,

I wrote to you last week explaining mine and the school governing body’s thinking about the reopening of our school. As this week has progressed it has become clear that we do not have the information necessary in order for us to plan for a safe reopening on the 1st June. Therefore our school will not open before the 15th of June.¬†We will continue to work with you, with staff and with local and national bodies toward a safe opening; but our schools will not be open before this date.

As a headteacher, my primary concern is the safety and well being of children, their families and school staff. Please know, all in school want to see the children back in school and we will continue to work toward a safe reopening.

We will of course remain open to the children of key workers and vulnerable children, as defined by the government.
