This term, our topic has been about our family, and we wanted set up a trip early in the year as a picnic in the park. Seeing as the weather is still bright and warm, it was the perfect time to get out one more time until the Summer term arrives for our park picnics. And the visit linked to our family topic as we invited parents, carers and loved ones along to have a nice time out with their children. When given the chance, some of the children had some time to go on the swings, slides and other playground equipment, before heading back to school. The children seemed to really enjoy their picnic in the park with their family, as did the staff.
Then, our Formal class went on a school trip with Year 2 to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford. They have been reading the story of the ‘Man on the Moon’ in their English topic. They have really enjoyed reading the book, and seemed to really enjoy looking at the real-life aircrafts.
Take a look at the pictures below to see the children on their school trips.
