Over the last two weeks, Year 5 children listened and learnt a 20th century orchestral piece called ‘Ghost parade’. After listening to the music, the children could identify the minor tones which gave the music a spooky feel as well as the different instruments which make up an orchestra.
After learning the song, they then rehearsed in pairs an instrumental section on the glockenspiels. They then improvised their own spooky ideas on the keyboards and glockenspiels. Have a look how some of us got on below!
